I just visited Pam Penick’s great blog, Digging.
Pam has posted some really interesting and very inspiring before- and after-pictures of a narrow side yard on her plot.
Earlier this narrow side yard looked like so many other yards: Muddy and not particularly nice. Not a place you wanted to spend too much time in. But today Pam has turned this yard into a beautiful and very attractive place, just by planting a few shade-loving plants, reusing some old bricks and making a few other changes.
